Thank you for your service!

Keeping Veterans Fit is an organization that focuses on all aspects of wellness and wholeness for those that served in the Armed Forces or First Responders.

COVID-19 Statement

“Due to the public health risk posed by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, all of Keeping Veterans Fit staff are teleworking. Limiting exposure to our staff will help ensure the mission of the Keeping Veterans Fit to serve and represent veterans across the nation – especially during this time — will continue. Please contact the office via email or call and leave a message. I assure you that you will receive a prompt response from the appropriate staff member. When it is declared safe to resume normal operations, Keeping Veterans Fit, will resume fieldwork first and then return to the office setting.  ” -

OUR PROGRAMS

Keeping Veterans Fit is committed to helping Veteran's live the healthiest life possible. This is to include physical health, economic health, emotional health and mental health.

MISSION ONE

KVF focuses on finding resources for those that need help with food, medicine, mental health, getting VA benefits, getting back in shape, and taking their physical health back into their hands. Keeping Veterans Fit offers KVF Sports. It is our answer to the need for PTSD Physical Fitness Rehabilitation. In this program, the use of the community created through team sports is paired with a physical fitness regimen approved by psychologists that are trained in treating veterans with PTSD.

MISSION TWO

Keeping Veterans Fit also has a PALS program.  This is a Practical Application of Life Skills program for both adults and At-Risk Youth.

Our Adult Program is to assist Veterans transitioning from Active Duty to Civilian Life. Our Youth Program is for youth that has experienced or witnessed some type of violence or trauma and is suffering from PTSD. Our youth participants are referred to us by an adult community member.

MISSION THREE

Keeping Veterans Fit is in the process of developing the KVF Village to provide transitional housing for At-Risk Veterans. Utilizing the innovation of Tiny Homes and Container Homes, there will be a total of four KVF Villages in the South East Region. Each KVF Villiage will able to support 15 Single Veterans and 10 Veterans with Families of up to 6, per housing cycle. The KVF Village program will provide a stable environment while also ensuring that the Veteran and their family develop the skills and stable income to become homeowners.

MISSION FOUR

America was once considered the textile industry’s “home address,” producing the majority of the world’s garments and employing hundreds of thousands of workers.

Today, hardly any clothing comes with a Made in the USA tag, thanks to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the decision of many companies to move their work to low-labor and material cost countries such as China.

That’s now changing.

There are signs of growing demand and interest in U.S. apparel manufacturing, largely fueled by the collapse of China’s garment factories and related cost increases. Through the KVF Sustainable Fashion Vocational Rehabilitation Program, Veterans and their dependents now have an opportunity to develop skills so they may become a part of this billion dollar a year industry.

This Program is designing, manufacturing, and marketing a Luxury Sustainable Brand for Men and Women. This brand will include apparel, accessories, jewelry, as well as, ethical grooming products for men, women, and children.

KVF Sustainable Fashion Vocational Rehabilitation Program

America was once considered the textile industry’s “home address,” producing the majority of the world’s garments and employing hundreds of thousands of workers.

Today, hardly any clothing comes with a Made in the USA tag, thanks to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the decision of many companies to move their work to low labor and material cost countries such as China.

That is NOW changing.

There are signs of growing demand and interest in U.S. apparel manufacturing, largely fueled by the collapse of China’s garment factories and related cost increases.

One push to restore apparel and manufacturing and technical skills is underway in Atlanta, Georgia, the headquarters of Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc. In partnership with the VA's Voc Rehab programs at local area college, Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc. has launched our nonprofit vocational rehabilitation organization, which provides paid job training opportunities for veterans with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc. is projected to have hired and trained more than 60 sewing machine operators, 20 sewing machine repair technicians, 10 fashion designers, and 5 fashion marketing professionals, within the first three years of operation.  In addition to the training opportunities provided, Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc will own and operate the manufacturing facility that will produce the Luxury Sustainable Fashion Collection - CEOWEAR and the Luxury Grooming Product Line - DESIGNED. CEOWEAR and DESIGNED will be manufactured entirely in the United States by veterans.

“As a community organization with a mission to help veterans with barriers reach their full potential, it makes sense for us to launch this Vocational Rehabilitation specifically for Fashion in Atlanta, GA,” says Robert Malloy, Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc. president and CEO. Atlanta is quickly becoming the Hollywood of the South. There is a need for local sustainable manufacturing and there is a workforce of veterans that are ready, willing, and able to excel in the challenge of learning a new lucrative skill.

Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc.'s veteran operators will be working in a modern textile manufacturing environment equipped to meet the demands of today’s textile clients, including the high fashion-forward and globally-conscience.

The facility Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc. will build, is designed to have a little more than 33,000 square feet of manufacturing space, with more than 8,000 square feet of flexible office and classroom space, including an internet café, training rooms, and more. Keeping Veterans Fit, Inc. is in the process of partnering with local talent in the Metro Atlanta area to develop additional internship opportunities for the veterans enrolled in the program.

The company projects that demand and related hiring will continue to increase with the opening of the Sustainable Fashion Rehabilitation Program in February 2021, says Nicole Riggins, KVF’s Executive Director of Operations.

CEOWEAR

Don’t let the words designer and luxury scare you. While the CEOWEAR Collections for men and women are much more expensive than traditional fast-fashion labels it’s worth noting the CEOWEAR Collections for men and women are for when one is ready to invest in a staple piece. Not only are our designers creating garments that will last you years (and then some), but they’re paving the runway with progressive production methods and innovative textile inventions. Whoever said environmental sustainability and luxury fashion couldn’t mix? If you’re looking for all price points you should check out the CEOWEAR Collections for men and women. The CEOWEAR Collection includes apparel, jewelry, accessories, hats, and bags for both men and women. The CEOWEAR Collection's signature ethical fedora is featured in the video below. This hat will be available in 100% sustainable fabrics and will only use plant-based dyes. The CEOWEAR Collection for men is slated for a Fall, 2021 release, followed by the women's collection being released in Spring, 2022.

DESIGN

DESIGN for men provides a wide variety of excellent QUALITY male grooming products that are free from harmful ingredients and made fresh in the USA.

Design for women provides a wide variety of excellent products designed for the distinguished yet delicate woman. This collection has 10 unique items made for and by women.

Resources

While there are many organizations that provide assistance to our brave men and women that have served in the armed forces - they can only help if Veterans know how to find them.
